The Best New Orleans House Painter: From Kenner To New Orleans
When it is time to find the best New Orlean house painter or one in the surrounding area, you may need help.
In this video you will learn one easy way to find a New Orleans house painter who not only excels in service, but also in their desire to share insider information from a painter's point of view. The man with the secrets is known as "Expert Dave" and is adored by his clients in the surrounding New Orleans area.
While his competition doesn't like the fact he shares these helpful insider painting tips, his clients appreciate it for the money they have saved following his basic guidelines and tips in his Free Louisiana House Painter's Guide.
Dave was heavily involved in the reconstruction process after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Living out of his mobile trailer behind the Kenner Seafood restaurant, Dave and his men were some of the first crews helping the resilient Louisiana residents start anew.
While other companies were gouging the storm beaten residents, Dave committed to be honest and fair in his prices. Using his connections, he was able to get the necessary supplies to the area, from drywall to timber, to help his clients get their home back in shape.
Dave will admit the hours were long and the stress mighty. He saw so much devastation, but what hurt the most was seeing so many people in distress. He often not only spent time helping with the actual construction, but also hours talking with his clients, praying with them, and consoling them in their loss.
It is with this same heart and compassion that he continues to strive to help others. Hence, his free guide that includes "7 Common Mistakes People Make When Hiring A House Painter....And How You Can Avoid Them..."
7 Common Mistakes People Make When Hiring A Kenner House Painter
DTC's "Expert Dave" shares his Kenner house painter secrets in hiring the best house painter and not lose money in the process.
Mistake #1
The first mistake many people make when hiring a house painter is not getting a written quote from the painter up front. In that estimate, the painter needs to go into detail what services he will be performing. Such as, in the process of painting, someone may nick or bump the walls. You need to make sure you are going to get at least two free touch-ups. This should be part of the warranty, which also should be included in the estimate.
Mistake #2
The second mistake made by a homeowner is failing to specify the quality of material the house painter will be using. Always make a point to determine the quality of paint you would like to use before looking for a painter. Different paints have different pigments. Some manufacturers of paint use a lesser quality of pigments-materials-in their paint. For example, they use less pigment and more filler. A good pigment in a paint and a good paint coat will allow you to wash off hand prints, finger prints, crayon or pencil marks, etc. A lower quality of paint would not allow you to do this. If you wiped the wall with the lesser quality, the paint would come off!
Mistake #3
If you are on a schedule or have one that needs to be met, you need to find a house painter that will be sensitive to that schedule and committed to meet it.A horrible mistake would be, for example, if you have your mother-in-law coming in town to visit, and you need the job done in a certain amount of days. And the house painter has no regard for your time-line and is still painting as your guest arrives. It’s best to hold off the paint job if your house painter cannot meet your schedule.
You should also be aware of the actual process involved in painting. You paint the ceilings first. Get a coat on your trim and then cut the wall paint into the underside of the trim. It’s a whole lot easier to cut a wall into a ceiling rather than a ceiling into the wall. If your hand is not steady enough, some people paint the walls, let it dry and then mask it off. Then they paint the trim so as to not get a penetration from one color into another. A good steady hand will reveal a skilled painter, as an artist even, who can cut in with paint in places that most people could not!
Mistake #4
One of the major mistakes is not discussing the specifics of workmanship, such as the scheduling of how things are actually performed. You need to ask such questions as, “Where are you going to paint first in my house?” If you know the scheduling in advance in what will be painted first, you won’t allow a painter to make a horrific mistakes that can be costly adding up to “extra’s” on your bill. In addition, you would want to know the specific details of the actual painting such as, not being able to put eggshell paint over semi-gloss…. Knowing the details of painting can help you determine the proper painter, one who will work in a timely scheduled manner.
Mistake #5
The fifth mistake many people make when hiring a house painter is not discussing how things will be moved, relocated, and covered. When a painter comes in your house you want to make sure the painter lays down a plastic cover before he lays a drop cloth down. The drop cloth will not absorb the paint. If you have carpet and areas you don’t want stained, if there was a spill or a large drop from a roller, you would want to be sure there is plastic underneath. The drop cloth will not absorb all the paint.
Mistake #6
One major mistake to avoid is the discussion of “glitches’ or irregularities that may occur as they paint your home. For example, you hung a picture up and behind it were extra holes in the wall. So after everything is taking down the walls and ceilings discuss with the painter what needs to be repaired on the walls or ceilings in a timely matter before he begins painting. In addition, you’ll want to know if drywall needs to be repaired. You would also want to know if they will be using sponges on your walls. And if they are going to use a sander, you want to know if they will use a vacuum with it so that’s there’s no dust particles flying through your house. Every day make sure your painter will clean up afterwards. If they are painting in a finished house, confirm with the painter that they will put everything back in its proper place so you can continue living inyour house without moving furniture yourself all the time.
Mistake #7
The final mistake many make is NOT discussing throwing away items used in the actual cleaning procedure. It is illegal to throw paint or paint materials in sewers or landfills. They have to be disposed responsibly just like your vehicle’s oil. When hiring a house painter you want to be sure he will be responsible. You want to ensure a green environment for our children’s children. So make sure you hire a “green” painter who understands the importance of handling the clean up process.

7 Online Video Marketing Secrets: Using YouTube To Gain Traffic
When discussing online video marketing secrets, implementing the popularity of YouTube must be a key element to this video strategy.
Check these latest stats from Comscore.com, a leader in measuring the digital world.
“80 million U.S. Internet users watched online video during the month. YouTube delivered video to more than 135 million viewers during the month, reaching 3 out of every 4 online video viewers at an average of 96 videos per viewer.”
So this online video marketing secret has to do with a few things you need to do when you are actually uploading your video to your YouTube account.
The first element is real simple and key insider tip.. When you save the video that you plan on uploading, save it with a name that contains your main keywords. YouTube will rank your video higher with that keyword(s). So don’t just put “video 5b” or something generic, name it for example, using keywords like this “Online Video Marketing Secret For YouTube” or whatever your keywords are!
The second important thing to do as your video uploads is to use your keywords in the title. This is basic search engine optimization elements. Make sure the first four or five words contain that keyword.
As for the description, this is where many marketers lose out. They don’t take advantage of seeing that description area like a resource box in an article. First though, you need to put the website or squeeze page that you want them to click on to get more information or to sign up on your list. You have to use the “http://yourdomain.com” to make it a hyper link which upon clicking will take them to the desired page you want them to visit.
Then provide information much like you do at the end of an article inviting the viewers to get that free series or more information on the subject in the video.
Finally, don’t forget the tags. Once again, you load it six or seven of your keywords with the main keyword being first.
Next, choose your category and make it “public” so everyone can see it.
Click save. When the uploading is finished, your video is inside YouTube, and is loaded with the key ingredients to motivate viewers to visit your site online for more information.

7 Simple Online Video Marketing Secrets: Brilliant Videos From Pictures
So you may not quite be ready to star in your own video. This one online video marketing secret is one of my favorites in making quick movies from picture clips and even short video clips. It’s called Animoto! Animoto is a web application that produces videos from your selected photos, video clips and music. It is THE BEST online video tool to produce stunning professionally video slide shows fast and shockingly simple.
So you get to choose your pictures (or video clips) in your slide show and upload them. You have the option of being able to add text, highlight certain photos, and re-arrange them as you like. In the second step you can add music, your own or selected tunes from Animoto’s library. From there you choose the speed, name the video with a title and description and click finish allowing the site to produce your professional online video for your own marketing!
Each of your video clips and music is analyzed in this amazing process. According to the website, the song is analyzed, producing an unique video every single time a set of photos or videos are uploaded. Animoto claims that no two videos are ever the same.
One of the latest features I really enjoy with my I-Phone is the Animoto application. I can take my photos that I just shot and make a little video. I did this recently at a birthday party by taking a bunch of photos and shooting a few video clips with my I-Phone. Then while I was still at the celebration, I created a video to show off to the family. Of course they loved it, and I was able to e-mail them to each who asked for a copy, all from my I-phone.
So image this application in your I-phone or on your computer when you need to make a simple online video for marketing!
One other note, I upgraded my account (http://OnlineVideoTool) at a very reasonable rate so I can create longer than 30 second videos. This gives me the opportunity to not only make longer videos, but also to download them to my computer to add two small I-Movie editing features.
For one, I take out the music they allow you to use, and add my own “royalty free” music, just to be on the safe side with any copyright issues. And then I add my domain name shadowing the whole video in the lower right corner.
I get a stunning video every time at less the time it would take to edit such a creation myself!
7 Simple Online Video Marketing Secrets: Choosing The Best Video Camera
Choosing the best video camera for your online video marketing that’s simple to use and under $200 is easier now thanks to the Flip Camera and Kodak’s Zi8.
I first learned how great the Flip camera is two years ago. It was so simple that my children grabbed it (age 10 years and 6 years old) and started to make their own videos. My 6 year old son grabbed one time when I was taking a nap. After singing some songs into the camera, he got the idea of playing a joke on and video me while taking a nap!
Forget the expensive big and heavy expensive cameras. I put mine back up in my closet now.
My favorite is the Kodak ZI8. I shoot most of my online video marketing shots with this camera now.
One reason why I like it so much is it has an external mic port. In addition the Zi8 includes electronic image stabilization delivering a very respectable video quality in High Definition or Standard Definition all under $200.
While this online video marketers secret camera tool may not be perfect, it is still one of the best camera’s that you can easily use for your video campaigns.
One detail you need to be aware of when using this camera. All of these pocket camcorders may advertise as High Definition models, but they still can not compare to the true HD camcorders that have more superior lenses and sensors.
With that being said, the Flip and others do have a great image quality and the companies continue improve. The Kodak Zi8 is the first small camcorder to boast of a 1080p 30 p video campture and 5 megapixel still image capture.
If I am just uploading my videos to YourTube or Facebook, I still use the basic WVGA which doesn’t take as much memory card space and is easy to edit on my Mac Book.
I also carry a Flip Mino Camcorder for spontaneous video. I have learned a lesson though. This camcorder stays hidden in my purse away from my children’s hands!.
